Hi guys I am having a bit of trouble with a small claim with a laptop that I never received. It was a 50/50 judgement against 2 companies, where 1 has paid and the other one hasn't - just tried to do a warrant for the company that hasn't paid and I have had a letter back from the court saying the the company is in administration and:

"...thay any judgement debts will rank as an ordinary unsecured claim in the aministration.

it is not anticipated that there will be a dividend to unsecured creditors".

So can anyone help me to translate the above into normal english? Or if not can they point me in the right direction? I will be going to the CAB too soon...

Thanks! :D

Basically you are screwed. The company has gone bust and after the government and the banks have there money any left will be distributed to unsecured creditors like yourself who are bottom of the pile. In this instance the company involved probably wont have any money left once they have paid the priority creditors ie the government and banks.

Unfortunetly it looks like you wont get any money back :(

Dont suppose you paid by credit card ? If so try your credit card company.
