hi macachia, i'd rather not overclock it im afraid (for now anyway).

I doubt 10mhz GPU and 50mhz MEM will boost performance more than 1fps given the cpu limitedness of these card.

I used to always choose the profile settings myself...

I found when i was running my SLI setup,if i didn't choose the profile for what game or benchmark i was going to use next..That sometimes it would stay on the standard driver setting profile..

the profile is set to high quality (same as it set globally), the 3dmark05 profile should come into affect automatically as soon as you click the 3dmark05.exe

might try ocing to 700core 1800 mem and see how that goes.

for reference, i was getting around 8600 before on my 7800gtx 256 and 4812 in 06

btw, what was it i had to do to stop texture shimmering as the thread has been deleated before i got a chance to try it out
EDIT: think ive sorted it, af optimisations come defualt off, have sait iq to highest and have clamped negative lod bias

yes probably, but in games that would probably only equate to about 1fps if that, i would have probably been better off getting your version myself.

F.e.a.r with every setting at max on 12x10 with full aa and af test would be a good choice, the css test is far too cpu limited.
Lost coast test with everything at max might be a good one too.

I have just run half life lost coast video stress test and get 93.5-94fps average at 1680*1050, everything high, reflect all, 16x af, 4x aa, nvidia cp at high quality.

i dont have fear didn't reckon much to the demo.

i just set the nvidia cp system performance to 'high quality', not sure about that negative lod thing, what's that do?

if u right click on it in the control panel it tells u, basically, clamping it can prevent shimmering by prevenging negative lod values that sharpen textures when still but can cause aliasing when moving.

so thats an extra 454 3d05 marks and 218 3d06mark increase
1-3fps increase, which doesnt sound a lot, but its an increase below 60fps, and every extra fps there helps

I was hoping for 12500 in 3dmark 05..Because thats what my two 7800gtx 256mb in sli get.

And am looking at replacing them with a single 7900gtx 512mb card...(I already sold my two 7800gtx last week)

(My x1900xt-x gets 11500 in 3dmark 05).

I get 12800 3d05 on a DC @ 2.7GHz with an XTX @ 693/1700. No tweaks, just a 24/7 run. I think that score looks a bit low tbh.

Very nice score. Thats more like it. Shame that the 7900 GTX I was hoping for it to do something like that could'nt do.

Nice clock on the memory. Is it what you run daily? What about benching and some tweaks, what have got out of it then?

nice, can i get a breakdown of the game scores? would be interesting to see if its any specific one. what about 3dmark06?

also, where are all the other ppl overclocking their cards? i want to see what sort of clocks ppl are getting on the default coolers i think id have to go up another 50mhz+ to reach your score though

People will be just getting thier cards now if they were ones that ordered them first like you. Im sure over the next few days / week there would be more overclocks emerging on the forums.

I want to see something buy 2 7900 GTX's and run them in SLI. How they would compare to 2 X1900 XTX's in CF mode.

I like to see actual user results than sites that have reviewed the cards. You dont know whether they have hand picked samples or not. At least with the orginary user like us, these are retail packages that anyone can get.

24/7 game rig. Loads of services, network & firewal etc. In no way tweaked, no LOD cheats. I can't play futuremark Are your NV drivers set to high quality for a comparable number?
