Just picked up an ADA3000AIK4BX CBBwe 0544 DAC processor this lunchtime. Going to stick in the dfi lan party with my TCCD PQI ram and give it a run out. If it doesn't better my SEmpron 2600 64 that does 2400mhz 24/7 at 1.45v air cooled it will be returned for a refund.

My god 2600mhz at default voltage and Prime95 stable!!! I am running Prime 95 whilst browsing and running apps. Running at 31C at 2600mhz whilst priming with just 2 slow turning side fans onto the stock amd cooler. Haven't bothered to push it higher or give it any volts. Running ram at 1:1 ratio at cas2.5 3-3-7 2T just to test it out no memory tweaks at all. THE PQI TCCD ram can hit these speeds at 285mhz so I know I push 1:1 higher before I need to kick in a divider but the memory controller on this chip seems pretty good. Looks as If it was a good £86 spent, anyone want a sempron2600 64?

I don't think skt 754 is quite dead yet.

Looks like 2900~ mhz is about its maximum, it boots happily at 3.0ghz but BSODs on loading windows, took it upto 1.625v max and it wouldn't have it. Just testing out 2700mhz as a 24/7 speed at 1.425v (1.4v is default) with Prime and 3dmark2001se.

Nearly as competitive as an Opteron 146 and hell of a lot cheaper.

Did a bit of late night tweaking and I have got superpi1m down to 32secs, with ram on a 166mhz divider at cas2 6-3-3 1T, with my side cooling fans turning and prime 95 running the temps have never gone over 40C! This venice runs really cool on the stoc heatsink and this refurbed DFI 250gb motherboard. That mobo cost me £32 for a refurb and a 90day guarantee, best £32 I ever spent on a mobo! The dfi board has a huge number of memory tweaks I have 90% of them set to auto so I think I can get the TCCD memory running better.
Looks like a lot of tweaking to do yet.

Bumping this back up - just got hold of some new memory (literally, a mate just walked into the room and handed me some RAM :)), G.Skill F1-3200PHU2-1GBZX if you want to look at it on the OCUK site.

Seen a review that reckons they got it up to 260mhz. It'd be nice to be able to beat that and get a stable 270 out of it, but I reckon I'll probably have to nuke the timings to get it!

More later, when I've finished breaking my computer.

*****EDIT*****

Right, this is what I booted up at - a nice safe setting just to confirm that the RAM will go higher than my old generic crap.

Right, inched it up some more - 2800mhz CPU, 233mhz RAM, very happy JRS.

Had a quick blast on GTL to warm the chip up a bit - 5 laps of the Nordschleife in a Ferrari 275GTB later and it didn't get beyond 37deg. Going to try some other benchmarks later if I can be bothered :)

Okay - I'm back on 10*270, as 10*280 bombed out of GTL after a 35min LAN race. SuperPi 1mb time for 2.7ghz, 225mhz RAM is ~33sec, so things are definitely improving :)
