Socket ID in boot sequence.

Hi,
I am experimenting with M.2 drives.

For sata devices the bios boot sequence identifies the sata socket.
ie on my Gigabyte ga-z270z-gaming-7 I see something like "P5 Samsung EVO 840".

So if I have more than one of the same device I can tell which is which by the socked ID P5 or P6 etc.

But when I put a M.2 card into either of my two M.2 sockets the bios boot sequence just shows the device name with no indication of which M.2 socket it is in.

The same is true if I put a M.2 device into a PCIE adapter card, the boot sequence does not identify the PCIE slot.

Is there a reason why the M.2 or PCIE slot ID cant be given. Maybe this is just Gigabyte ?

Thanks
David
