Do Sodimms (DDR2) have to be matched?
A friend of mine has a Dell Insperon 1300 laptop which has a lowly 256MB and because of this is painfully slow in XP.
He doesn't want to spend a load on memory but i suggested he takes it up2 at least 512mb.
The question is do Sodimms DRR2 have to be in matched pairs or could he buy and slot in a similar module of 256mb and everything will a-ok
I've had problems on a desktop that is drr2 with non matched pairs ie BSOD.. but are sodimms/laptop mother boards so fussy.
