Software for panoramic stitch of Northern Lights images?

As per question - I have several "3-shots wide" images of the northern lights but Lightroom or Photoshop wont stitch them together though as even though there is a visible base the lights themselves are fairly fuzzy round the edges and the software (LR6, PS6) cannot see the joins! If I just stitch them into a new images the overlap is OK but I find I cannot merge the exposure manually and see the "joins" too clearly.

Ideas welcome please (trial or free).

Might try that too as well next time actually. I've been using ancient Autostitch for over a decade now, but it's not supported and really struggles with outputting from high res originals.

PTGui is good, there is a free trial to test it out. It has produced really good results for me.
