hello, im looking for some sort of program which will allow me to record an analogue input ie from a sound mixing board or a minidisc player output, i know theres a simple programm on my pc already, its the 'sound recorder' thing for the mic input but it isnt very clear, and i cant use the line in input on that programm as it dosnt allow it. is there some program that will allow me to to record the analouge signal from the line in socket? any help would be appreciated.

Try this program called Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ lets you record pretty much anything that inputs sound to your computer, although if you are getting poor recording through your line in it could be because you a sound card with poor input
