A friend's hard drive is dying and as he was saving up for a new rig, he has decided to get a new pc.

He already has a 7800 (which will do for now) and a Tagan 480w psu.

Basket:

Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) - OEM £159.99
Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard £119.99
Patriot Sector 5 G Series 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-12800 1600MHz Dual Channel (PGV34G1600ELK) £86.99
Titan TTC-NK85TZ Fenrir CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/LGA775/LGA1366) £32.99
Corsair Reactor 60GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive £144.99
Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case £42.99

Coming in at £590 inc. vat

We intend to overclock to 3.8-4ghz. We already have some artic silver paste.
We also will get an ocuk value solid state adaptor and do we need any 120mm fans?

I am fairly up on hardware but I am unsure which ram to get (aside from dd3 dual channel) or which SSD is best for £140-£160.
We need to buy today due to coursework reasons. Thanks in advance:)

don't think the fenrir can be mounted on lga1156

edit: brackets can be had for around £2.50

rest of the build looks fine :)

Oh yea as if I missed that:) Thanks.

Anyone else got a comment before I go and buy?

Superewza: I haven't looekd into the x4 AMD really. I thought that the i5 quad was pretty much the same as it price wise and performance wise. I have felt AMD are way behind the game ever since their awesome AMD64 was outdone by the core2duo.
