Hey guys, im looking for a new board for my q6600 but im not after blazing overclocking or SLi madness, my only stipulations are:- Full ATX Maximum possible SATA ports internal (6 min) Native RAID 0/0+1 budget limit is £100 any advice?
P5Q Pro Turbo is a very good mobo. Good reviews, i know you said you don't want to overclock but it's great for overclocking which is a bonus. Also crossfire to
Not sure if you'll find any 775 boards with more than 6 SATA. Have you considered a PCI SATA controller?
As mentioned, under budget as well. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-341-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1155 OT But why is the BlackOpps so cheap
I have 2 in there, 12 1Tb sata's 6 native 4 on a RAID controller card and 2 on another VIA card. Thing is my P5QL Pro doesnt have RAID nor does it alow me to boot from an add-in PCI card (unless someone can tell me how!!) Does this board deffo have raid? Because my P5QL Pro Doesn't for some stupid reason! Also i can get that Blackops board for about £80 would that be a good choice? I really want a RAID0 boot drive as i CBA shelling out on SSD right now
Because it's DDR3. Most people wanting an s775 will already have DDR2 and so an expensive upgrade to DDR3 isn't worth it without a complete upgrade to i5/i7/AM3.
Looks like it http://uk.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=c19zNYHCAXhCqBPq&templete=2 Although from that description I get the impression that all eight drives can't be used for RAID, anyone else get that?
