I have an XL2411T that hasn't got display port and there will be no way to get my new GPU to run at 144hz on it. DVI active adapters are almost the price of a new monitor and HDMI only runs at 60Hz. So i need something new.

I play CSGO but also want to not be limited in my choices as i haven't gamed in a while. Games like The Division 2 and Remnant from the ashes interest me aswell as some others. I'm not sure on 27inch as i hear it's not optimal for first-person shooters. My build is 3600/Vega 64.

I have been offered an XL2540 by a friend for £270 which is an option but not sure if i can get better for around the same price.

I would personaly recomend the asus tuf gaming vg249 ips 24", as sold by overclockers. I have one myself and its the best monitor ive ever had. It has hdmi @144hz and more (although it has dp and that would be better). Check the links to learn more about it, ie price, colours, settings and how to run it in 200fps. Check out here. If you get it and want to know how to run it @ 200hz then just ask. I have the settings.

And my thread about it

The hdmi will run at 144hz if you are using an hdmi 1.4 port. Thought i better add that.
