About 2 weeks ago I finally opted to shave my head for the exact same reason. Invested in a pair of clippers, did it unguarded to get it nice and short, and now I have a proper wet shave with a razor every Monday to keep it trim.

I'm 19 and my hair started to thin badly at the back, and because the rest of my hair is really thick, it looks like it's completely bald. Since 16 I've had this, and I've only just recently started doing a No.1/2 over it. Seriously, you notice a difference, and it's easier to maintain.. no more bed hed.. also boosts confidence.

I'm 21 and my hair started thining a year ago, i've kept it short (no.4 or really short scissor cut) since then, clippers at home is definately cheap though.
