    Hi all,

Just wondering what you could come up with for about 550-600 quid?
I just need the box, not the monitor, KB, mouse or anything like that.

The machine will be mainly for graphics and a few games... COD2 and the likes.

Im looking for something about the 250GB HDD range with at least 1GB RAM and a perky CPU if possible. Something 64-bit, dual core or is that asking for too much?

Lets see what you can come up with. :)

    cheers

Dammit i was going for a spec almost identical to that. Looking back, is it worth getting a OEM cpu then fitting an artic cooler? - Might also free up some money to go toward a x1800xt 256mb! There is a a8r-mvp board in b-grade, it could knock off £20

Went for an X1800 GTO, and with the crossfire mobo, you'll be able to drop in a second GTO if you want. You could always spend a few more quid and up the RAM to 2gb, but that's optional.

I think it's safe to say that it'll be a 'reasonable' jump in performance :p
