    Hi,

will be building my first new PC soon and will get the Asus M4A79XTD Evo and Phenom II 965BE.

I have around £85 to spend on some DDR3 RAM (2x2GB), and wondered if you could advise me. The problem I keep having is seeing that its 'testing on p55' or 'optimised for intel'. Which of these are best for an AMD set-up and the above board??

    Thanks

I will overclock the CPU, but i doubt i will the RAM, so in that case will that not matter?

Indeed, no point buying the high end RAM if you're going to run it at stock speeds, just buy from one of the brand names to make sure it's more reliable.

So the ones that are 'tested on p55' or 'optimised for intel' are ok for my AMD set-up?
