I've not long had my new car but i've noticed an annoying problem.

My clutch squeaks every time I press it. It doesn't feel like there's anything wrong with it, and the car has only just 10.5K miles, it's just more irritating that anything and i've just been drowning it out with music.

    Any thoughts?

I could take it back to the garage ultimately I guess but i'm unsure about what they would say or do, if it's something straight forward I can fix myself i'd rather do that.

I'm assuming you mean the clutch pedal is squeaking, rather than the clutch itself?

You could try and lube the mechanisim behind/above the pedal - perhaps see if it is fouling on any carpet etc.

I'm guessing its a cable opperated clutch rather than hydraullic - perhaps the cable needs readjusted?

What type of car is it?

    Apologies, it's the clutch pedal.

    Car is a Fiesta ST.

Mine seems to squeek from time to time too, I also have a fiesta st for now.

I've put about 12k on the clock since march which gives a total of 20k now. Like I said, mine squeaks now and then but I'm not sure it's anything to worry about.

Nothing to worry about, i've been in many cars with squeaky pedals, just lube it up.

Manta does it too, it's the rubber bush the pedal hinges on normally.

I had a feeling it would be a fiesta!

Get some 3-in-1 on there, (NOT WD40!)
