start up problem

I recently built a new pc and its been running fine for about 2 months but since this morning when i boot up, it hangs at the bios screen (I get no error beeps it just starts up as normal then freezes)Any idea what could be causing this?

Have you got anything plugged into a USB port or a floppy disk still in the drive? That always causes the problem with mine.

agreed this happens if I leave my ipod plugged in on startup, which is most annoying

thanks guys! i took out all the usb stuff and it booted up normally
