steering wheel hands position

Depends on the steering wheel, for me it's 9-3 as i can rest/hook? my thumbs in the spokes.

I have three main positions:

9:30 and 2:30 (the intended position with my wheel).

8 and 2 (with my right arm on the window cill).

8 and 4 (which I reckon if used on the motorway gives either hand a large swing at the wheel if I need to swerve, more than crossing arms from 9 and 3 actually).

 

[I get around]

Hold it at the bottom most of the time, with my right hand only, resting on my knee. Use the "palm" technique for turning.

Or at about 2 oclock, arm resting on window ledge.

Left hand doesn't do a lot, holds fags, changes tracks, operates coffee cup, changes gear.

9 - 3 hooked over the horn buttons... If it's a long drive though i may just use my right hand at 3 or hook a finger on 5 to keep it straight
