Hi, I've just had a look at my router log and this entry has come up.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what LCP is and should I be afraid.?

    Thanks,

Isn't that just saying your router is connecting to your isp?

Specifically from a Netgear router I think? The router gets its time keeping from one of Netgears ‘time-servers,’ which can go down periodically…

I remember seeing that entry in the log constantly when I first got BB and my router kept losing sync :(

I wouldn’t worry until you start seeing multiple log entries

Thanks guys...actually I've just noted the date: 2002 - must have been the factory set-up - doh!

    Thanks anyway.

I doubt the time server actually belongs to Netgear. They google for a free one and use that. It's not like these people want to spend their money ;).

Sorry, missed you SW. Is that right? Yep, it's a Netgear.
Thinking about it it would be unlikely to be manufactured in 2002
Thanks...will monitor logs for a while and see if it reoccurs.

    Cheers.
