Weird problem, help would be appreciated.

Trying to play some DVD movies on my computer earlier today. The movies play fine in WMP, but there is no sound. Its not my soundcard or headset (both of those are only a few weeks old and are working perfectly for everything else). The video is playing, but there is no audio. It is on the correct region (region 2).

I can't think of any other problem. any ideas?
