Hi there

Im still not getting the answers i need. So thought i would make a new post in here. I have tried searching the forums, but im still stuck :(

I have my pc at the moment which is E6600, 2 gig of ram, hd's etc

I want to jump onto the blu ray bandwagon. I have tried Hd (360 & HD player) when it first come out and was impressed by the quality.

What i would like to know is:-

I have my pc plugged into my 40 inch sony tv its not 1080p. It will only do 720p or 1080i

So im assuming i can buy a blu ray player for my pc, hdmi lead and a new GPU and away i go.

My pc is currently plugged into the tv via vga. When i go the HDMI route will i problems with setting up the screen size etc or can you do that within windows?

I would just like to know what i need to buy :( and not waste time or money

Phew

Thanks :)

You don't need a new GPU, just a DVI>HDMI dongle/lead though I'd recommend a 9400 or above as it'll handle the video decoding leaving the CPU nearly free.
You just set the resolution of the display in Windows if it doesn't detect it itself.
