    Would it be possible for me to cool a cpu without a heatsink ?

    with water cooling yes, but you NEED to have some kind of cooling on the chip mate... sorry

    Lets be specific here, as I'm pretty sure my old 486 sx25 chip didn't need a heatsink. :p

    I did have a heatsink but its gone missing in my house lol.. and i cant be bothered buying a new 1 :p

    It's just the way these things work - although I haven't played that particular hiding game yet myself.

    Ive found a cpu fan just need the heatsink now lol :rolleyes:

    I have heard somewhere about an old Celeron running at 90 degrees odd without a HSF. Bit warm for my liking, but apparently it ran ok.

    Ok switched it on and had a 60mm fan ontop of cpu and the temps was 54c idle lol :p it was only on for 10 mins
