My son wants a new mobile and i was thinking going the contract route. Only thing that bothers me is the thought of a large extra bill at the end of the month!, does anyone know if there is a contract with a cap available with and providers ?

Why not Tesco Mobile pay as you go? They're £30 a month for unlimited texts and calls.

They also appear to have a pay monthly cap service.

I was of the belief that all the mobile phone operators offered some sort of 'capping' service on their monthly contracts precisely for this reason.

Certainly Orange did a few years back when my bro had a phone, his first 2 bills were in the region of 150 quid. Cap was applied after that.

Best to give the one that offers your area the best reception a ring and see.

mmmmm-only reason for getting away from PAYG was for the better minutes and text deals around. I think i may have to give a couple of providers a call.
