Ahah! I worked it out :rolleyes: Ok so shes not 18 till next year where as I am 18 this year and we are both in year 12 I didnt look at the actual date :p

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/rates/it.htm It gives you all the tax bands & allowances. What usually happens is that if you haven't got a tax code you are taxed at the 22% rate & the company presumes you have worked all the (tax) year. As soon as you get a code it works itself out. All PAYE assumes you will work all year.

Oh ok, i handed in a P45. I think i handed it in like 2 weeks before i got paid, so maybe it hasn't been "filed" yet?

My tax code says "BR"...
