3 nights in a row, down to Findhorn bay to catch a sunset.....dedication, or just plain nuts?

Can I get some technical feedback on this pic?

    1/4000s, at f/6....

I love the colours and overall feel of the pic, but I can't help feeling the Sun is in the wrong place.

Got any shots of a few minutes later?

The colours are great but I feel the trees and land should be darker. Maybe spot meter for the sky next time or mess around with it in PS to deepen the colours a little?

Also, it does seem a little funny that the sun is cut off!

I agree with nero, maybe mask off everything along the treeline and below and just reduce brightness & add some contrast to compensate, it just feels a little washed out

They're both great, almost surreal. I'd be proud of them :)

300mm zoom lens, and a severe case of diffraction of the sunlight as it enters obliquely through the atmosphere. Makes the sun look bigger.......
