    Hey guys,

I need to get a new surge protector for my PC/DVD/TV and I’ve seen one, Belkin I think, that also incorporates a phone/ADSL input.

What I want to know is, would putting my broadband line through the surge protector affect my line quality at all? Deteriorate it or anything :(

    Thanks,

    SW.

I think the surge protector will just be a straight forward pass through so it shouldnt affect your line at all.

I use one with my NTL cable (ethernet) and dont see any drop in performance and my dad uses one with his ADSL line and again no drop in performance.

You might see an effect with the ADSL. It's hardly worth it anyway.
