I'm looking at getting a Synology 115j and putting an existing 1.5tb hard drive in. The drive currently has lots of video and pictures on it and would rather just put the drive in and it just work with the files already there. Is that possible? or will it require a reformat?
If i don't reformat will any of the functionality be missing?
