Yes of course, when I was little I use to have a sup of my dad's beer and look what a fine chap I turned out to be.

I don't feel that recreational drug use when in a position of responsibility such as looking after young children or operating machinery/cars is ever a good idea.

I don't even drink in the house if it's just me and the kids. There's no way I'd go to the pub with just my child, let alone drink when I'm there.

I wouldn't want to sit alone in the pub drinking with my kids around, seems a bit sad, but I can't see anything wrong with it providing you're not drinking excessively or drink driving.
