Do you know if this ram works ok with an old Asus Rampage IV Extreme X79 mobo ?

I know it's very fussy with ram (my Corsair Vengeance has worked fine at 1600mhz for over 6 years, but in the last 6 months, it seems to only recognise 12gb of the 16gb unless I drop the speed to 800mhz).
