Guys , with the arrival of Teamspeak 3 does anyone know if you can run Teamspeak 3 if you have only subscribed to TS 2 ?

I am not to sure when our TS server rental expires but have tried to enter our address and port into the TS3 address box but it will not work .

    Help appreciated cheers .

Depends where you rent your TS from

If its Multiplay then they let you swap from TS2 to TS3 or even Mumble as much as you like.

Slightly OT but out of interest. Did TS ever evolve? I always found it sub-par compared to Ventrilo, especially audio quality. Is TS3 any better?

    Mumble > TS3 > Vent

Well, maybe not for features as yet but definitely for sound qualtiy.

Infinitely cheaper too owing to no licensing fees.

I still use Ventrilo mostly because our clan has tried Mumble and TS3 on a few occasions but we always go back to Ventrilo....

Mumble and teamspeak 3 are way better than vent for sound quality. Trying to get retarded clan members to set it up is where it falls down lol

Mumble is good - no lag when talking compared to other comms.
