Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere / The Chain / Little Lies (generally my fave band, ever)
Queen - Who wants to live forever (super emotional, makes me cry EVERY time!)
Thompson Twins - Hold me now

Just a few :)

There's several artists/bands I really like, especially from around the 80s, but Fleetwood Mac's Gypsy is definitely one of my favourite songs...

That's why I posted it a couple of weeks (and a few pages) back!

I kind of envy my nieces and nephews that are into music and have all this great back catalogue to discover, when bands wrote and performed their own music. You can find a "best of" album that distils the thirty year career of an amazing band down to twenty incredible songs.

Hard to pick a best song, but I definately think this has stood the test of time.

I particulary like Ode to Joy done by a string quartet.

Going for something a bit more modern, some great tunes has already been mentioned, but to throw in a few more.

And the song sitting a place higher in my collection: Skid Row - 18 and Life. Sebastien Bach is a great vocalist and the lyrics in this are strong. The delivery of:

Accidents will happen
They all heard Ricky say
He fired his six-shot to the wind
That child blew a child away

Is one of those song 'moments'.

This is a good one.

I Remember You and and In a Darkened Room are also great.

This is the greatest track I have ever listened to and probably the most important piece of music ever created.

I came to give this song
From the world of dreams
I came to give this song
From crystal tears
I came to give this song
For the sake of love
I came to give this song

Truly beautiful. :)

Seeing as this thread has risen from the dust, I'll chuck in a few favoured oldies:

King Crimson - Epitaph. Album: In The Court Of The Crimson King, 1969

Jimi Hendrix - Machine Gun. Album: Band Of Gypsys, 1970.

Picking a Hendrix track is akin to choosing in a Miss World pageant, but Machine Gun gets the nod. Material in short supply on the 'tube, linked to Vimeo for this one.

Bauhaus - Double Dare. Album: In The Flat Field, 1981

The Who - Love Reign O'er Me. Album: Quadrophenia, 1973

Deep Purple - Child In Time. Album: In Rock, 1970

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain. Album: Maggot Brain, 1971
