Utter rubbish. Wasn't as good as first two. Suspected it would be a rehash of the 2nd one and was proved right. Not even a good rehash. Couldn't believe it when Nicky appeared (again - wtf, "i just happen to have been posted here after treadstone/moscow, what a coincidence") and the car chase bit where the other assassin guy is left with his head bloodied on the steering wheel of some 4x4 under a bridge was just too similar to ending of supremacy. That said I thought the bits between Nicky and Bourne were cool, the cutting of the hair like in the first film, also like the way it was cut short (not the hair) and left something up in the air, will hopefully come up in the next film. Don't like the way it took most of the film to lead up to where it left off in the 2nd one, talking to Landy from the window "get some rest, you look tired". Did like the nod to the first film when Bourne says "look at what they make you give" like the assassin at the end of Identity says. Had hoped the shaky camera stuff would have been ditched, it's what made the 2nd film unique from the first one for me. Needed something new and clever for this latest installement to stand out but failed to deliver. I suspect the sequels will get worse as time progresses, dissappointing. Think Bond has the edge for time being. That's my tuppence anyway
Just read BillHickRIP's post, and yeah, thought at the time that Bourne floating in the water at the end tied in well with the beginning of the 1st film, although this was quickly spoiled by Nicky's cheesy grin and Bourne flapping stupidly about in the water following the announcement that no body had been found. What was better admittedly was that the entire way through the film you are given clues that perhaps David Webb was forced/brainwashed into the assassin role against his will, such as Landy reading the report that said he initially showed signs of reluctance and the flashback scenes where he is hooded and water-tortured, but in the end it all boiled down to his choice. Nice. Still, thought it relied too much on borrowing from the other two films and not enough originality in this one.
