Well I managed to play some games and do benchmarks no issue fired up evil within and the pc shut down and with the 6 pin plugged into the 8pin the pc won't turn on at all. Plug the 2 pin Into the 8 pun and 6 pin Into the 6 pin it turns on. I'm in the middle of an oven bake see if that solves it. If not it was a fun experiment

Indeed 2000 series is just a fill-in product cycle with no competition above 1080Ti perf we got Turing not Volta

Anybody know whether we have an EVGA rep on these forums?

Sounds as if the bearings are going on my EVGA 980Ti ACX FTW so need to see if I can source a replacement fan. Contacted support but not had a reply and after a quick Google seems like it's not the easiest thing to get hold of.
