HI All,

This beast is no joke, designed to compete against AIO cooling the ICE Giant is a big unit with up to 500w support.

The IceGiant ProSiphon Elite is an extremely powerful CPU cooler. Thanks to its particularly large contact area, it is not only suitable for the common mainstream processors from AMD and Intel, but also for AMD Ryzen Threadripper.

Thanks to the patented ProSiphon technology, the IceGiant ProSiphon Elite develops an enormous cooling capacity. The channels between the fins are filled with a non-conductive liquid. This circulates, driven by the thermosiphon effect, in the closed circuit of the processor cooler. Four 120 mm PWM fans ensure the exchange of air between the cooling fins.

Compared to a complete water cooling system, the IceGiant ProSiphon does not have a pump. This means that there is no additional operating noise. The CPU cooler is suitable for cooling powerful desktop processors, including Threadripper CPUs. The cooler includes various assembly kits for consumer and HEDT chips from AMD and Intel as well as a syringe of Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste.

I saw Linus do a vid on it. Very impressive for Threadripper and the like.

Linus isn't in the thorough review business and he noted that:

this was worse than a NH-D15 for cooling a 10850K which is a monolithic chip

and better than a NH-U14S for cooling a 3970X which is a chiplet cpu

However the one it beat is a smaller cooler with less fans than the one it lost to. The smaller one exists to provide a TR4 baseplate and that's about it.

Also he passed on comparing to TR4 AIO coolers (he made excuses but I know there were other models available) and went with a custom loop then made a point of saying the custom loop was extremely expensive compared to the IceGiant.

Would have been good to see the TR4 AIOs with comparable price to a IceGiant compared. That would verify the value and performance claims.

Have to see if Noctua or someone else makes an equivalent sized cooler with a TR4 baseplate to see if its special sauce or simply the size of the Icegiant plus 4 fans is what currently puts it ahead of the smaller air coolers.

Not seen any serious comparative reviews yet but lots of unboxing.

On the face of it, while being unconvinced as to why, it is performing well for cooling chiplet cpus.

Never claimed he was  Just that I saw a review he did, and that it performed well for Threadripper.

Will wait for a right-to-left airflow version with a radiator/heatsink of thickness equal to that one's length (if possible). Nice that they developed an offset compared to the prototype so there's more room between the bottom fans and a GPU though.
