Brilliant, I've had to get 2 albums because of that video.
It's jus' the curl of the burl.
Anyone seen Volbeat live at all? Got into em last month and they're playing at Corporation in Sheffield on the 26th and probably gonna go see em.
Mastodon have just been on Jools Holland, I'm assuming it'll be on the iplayer if anyone wants to check it out!
Yeah saw them at Sonisphere this year and they were excellent. Going to see them again at the end of the month at the Forum they were that good.
Have to agree they came on early and were the 1st band on blew the place away, really impressed me.
Full show was on last night, good to see a Metal band on Jools Holland for a change. Mastodon weren't given the best sound but great to see them anyway.
Machine Head's new album is brutal, its definitely progressing from The Blackening, I can see MH becoming the new Metallica
Unto The Locust is a good album for sure, much better than the Blackening which imo was overrated. I still believe Machine Head are yet to better their 'Burn My Eyes' era, that album was almost perfect.
I think Burn My Eyes is a great album, but they got a bit lost until Through the Ashes of Empires and then have got better and better since then. The Blackening is one of my all time favorite albums and Unto the Locust is on par with that. The Darkness Within is an immense track and can't wait to see them live in a few weeks.
I've been getting into The Gathering a lot over the past couple of days. They are fantastic band
Anneke is gorgeous as well
I've never really listened to The Gathering, but I know Anneke a lot now due to her working with Danny from Anathema... Suppose i'll check them out.
25th anniversary of Cliiff Burtons death recently passed. Great bass player and extremely influential on the shaping of Metallica's early sound.
Thought I'd post some John 5 in here as I think it'll get mixed up in the general music thread
oh, and some oldschool classical black metal
Currently listening to Draconians new album: 'A Rose For The Apocalypse'.
Something about femal vocals and doom metal, I love.
Especially when its scandinavian.
Just got back, awesome bloody awesome -
