Gents, could some of you do me a favour please, on the PS4 could you go to the web browser and go to speedtest.net and tell me what ping you get? Just interested after I moved my console upstairs

Cheers, I’m getting between 40-50 with game plugs. Wifi was actually slightly better. I’m not really in a position to run a cable to the console from the router.

While old post, what's there to be private on the console? Apart from payment details, address etc but overall, there is nothing to be paranoid about.

There is no need for companies to be recording everything we do all the time, it's more the principal than anything else, but I know I'm in the minority who actually care about this.

It's not necessarily about specifically private data, but more the data that various apps and services collect that can then be used by those companies (or the companies they sell or send it to e.g. Facebook) to build a profile about you. There have been plenty of occasions too where services have collected more than just anonymous user activity data without disclosing or even realising.

I'm getting that over wifi. As High as 52.

Not sure I trust the numbers though to be honest.

Try www.fast.com also, it's a speed test that runs on the Netflix servers (and no ads to affect the actual test results).

That’s pretty good. The readings from my iPad were pretty much spot on for my actual connection speed. Will try it on PS4 tomorrow.

Picked up Zombie Army 4 and having a blast, only downside is the guns feel a bit "light" for want of a better term. Still great fun triggering the bullet cam!

Update from www.fast.com re: PS4 speeds. Wireless connection latency was 7ms unloaded and 27ms loaded whatever that means (faster than my PC though it seems!)

Is PlayStation Now a console-wide licence or does it only work for the user that has subscribed to it?

As long as the account with the entitlement has that console activated as their primary console, yes

Great! Going to try the 7 day trial when my nephew comes to visit but I don’t want him getting trophies on my account.

Re2 is so good, I'm a few hours into it. I played and completed the original many years ago, more than once I'm guessing, but this feels all new to me. I'm actually struggling a bit, finding it quite difficult to shrug off Mr X.
