Considering this as an option with the free buds for a pre-order. Get a discount at curry's which knocks the S20+ down from £999 to £934 , and with Vodafone can get 60gb , Unlimited Texts/Minutes for £26 a month. Total after 24months of £1,558 ... Are there better deals out there?

Edit : That includes Spotify (Worth £10 a month as would subscribe anyway)

go via tcb/fonehouse and you can get a Vodafone 12 month sim only, 5g unlimited max for £21 after cash back which includes Spotify, https://www.topcashback.co.uk/fonehouse/
(Choose the £36 per month deal)

cashback by redemption so will need to upload some bills throughout the year, easy really

also see here for a none Spotify Voda deal (£12.50 per month after cashback) : https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/vo...-25-tcb-at-fonehouse-3407677#comment-39918956

Nobody seems to have mentioned the haptic feedback on the S20 range. MrWhoseTheBoxx said to him it felt even better than an iPhone and other youtubers have said it's way improved too. So this makes the S20 the first Android in all history to have actual haptic feedback. Others online have remarked about how you can feel the toggle switches onscreen when you move sliders and things that actually feel like switches and the camera shutter button feels like a mirror slapping on a DSLR.

This is a huge moment I guess for Android in this area.

There isn't a single Android phone with haptics as nice as an iPhone until now...
Ok.. but saying the s20 is the first android phone with haptic feedback? Totally get you’re a massive Samsung fanboy but that’s a bit of a strange leap to make!

Just seen that on the S20 and S20+ it's not a true telephoto lens - it's a cropped image rather than an actual telephoto lens. Only the Ultra has any form of optical zoom.

The s20 and + have 3x hybrid optical zoom. The level of true optical zoom isn't yet determined but it's likely to be 2x. The chance of it being no optical zoom is very close to zero.

I suggest better reading skills....

I never said the S20 is the first Android with haptic feedback, every Android has it. I said it is the first to have high quality haptics like (or better) than an iPhone going by trusted reviewers and people who have handled the S20 so far.

Also at no point in ever have I said anything to give the impression I am a Samsung fanboy, my phone history might have more Samsungs in there but I've also had Xiaomi, HTC, Sony, Nokia and even the cheaper Chinese phones for a mix of business and personal use. I buy whatever brand has the best features for my uses and in recent years that has been with Samsung, although I'll only upgrade if the features offer a generation jump for the stuff I use most.

So much for Samsung's claims of this being a glass display, even fingernails are enough to damage it. :(

Samsung claim in their z flip intro vid the layer of glass is under the layer of plastic....Which makes little sense covering a material that's harder to scratch with one that's easy to scratch. Why even have a supposed glass layer at all if it serves no purpose for screen durability?

It is glass but on top of it is the plastic bendy layer that stops the glass from breaking when the thing is folded and unfortunately that's what is showing marks.

Samsung are running with the marketing on this and calling it glass without mentioning the plastic layer on top much like how monitor and TV makers call their LED backlit TVs "LED" with no mention of said LED being the backlight only.
