I asked why they didn't do this and got told I didn't know as much about rockets as rocket scientists, and here we are lol

Seems to be quite a few issues with these raptor engines that aren't being picked up during assembly or test firing at McGregor. Hopefully they get to the bottom of all these issues sooner rather than later as they're definitely the main cause that's slowing down starships progress.

to be fair this abort sounds more like a value in the computer parameters what was a little too conservative.

but i mean they're also still very much a prototype engine still in development too.
