Holding onto my Radeon VII until big navi comes along, hopefully later this year :)

I would have kept mine, but I was still within the rainforest return window, so it was a bit of a no-brainer. Similar performance for £197 less than I paid for my VII. I only game, so the full potential of the VII was rather going to waste.

Made the same decision, plus I still had a V56 Pulse which is damn good anyhow when tweaked!

Just picked one of these up and its a great gpu, it feels just as quick as my Vega VII and its very quiet at stock.
Also my pc boots up a lot faster than with the Vega.

I tried a Radeon VII too but I couldn't stand that noise and temps. I'm afraid that with rpms around 1300 will a 5700 xt get really hot in closed case. Maybe more then 90° but I was not able to find any info yet.

Hi guys, can you post what temps do you get at what rpms? Also write what game or software used. thx

Mostly around the 80c mark. Some a bit warmer, some not. The fan maxes at 2100rpm by default which is very acceptable for a blower.. v56 default was 2400rpm. I've been playing Metro Exodus, Forza Horizon & SWBF 2.

Can take another shot if required but my 50th Anniversary Edition arrived yesterday...yes it's mines, yes I've posted in the other thread :p yes it's a beaut!

v4GArvm.jpg

The 50th Anniversary also shows up as a Generic VGA (x1) card on 3D Mark :p

I've stuck an extra nudge on the core to 2130 as the aim, 25 extra on the RAM with the Power Limit set to +50% and the my volts down to 1166Mv, this produced a few stable runs on 3D Mark Time Spy with the best result below:

https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/37557708?

Score: 9344
Graphics Score: 9372
CPU Score: 9189

2700X @ 4.1Ghz
2700XT @ 2050/14400

The thing doesn't get near where the aim is, but is pretty stable in the 2000Mhz area now with the lower voltage.

Welcome and on TROH.:)

That is a really nice looking card.:)

That's with a stock frequencies and without undervolt? What case do you have?

Lian-li O11 air... I've done some undervolting. I don't think navi is as good at undervolting as Vega though. Early days though & I think we'll see some driver improvements soon.
