Just ordered the 5900X at RRP (From here)
Now my 6900XT reference will be able to stretch its legs properly.

Will sell my 3900X to re-coup some of the cost.
Let's hope I get a nice sample.

Enable PBO, tune curve optimizer (the most difficult and time consuming part), pair with high frequency low latency B Die, and away you go. :)

Prices are still up at the moment, regarding 6900XT....from £1560 all the way up to £2196 for a Special Edition......who knows these cards could come down in price at some point???? ;)

You're not currently CPU bound. The difference between a 3900X and 5900X is meh at best at anything over 1080p. I see you have a 60hz monitor at 4K so your 6900XT doesn't have much room to 'stretch its legs'. Maybe SAM will give you some extra performance in some games so up to you but don't expect a night and day difference. As LtMatt says you need the right memory and tune the curve optimiser so hope you've got a lot of time to tweak that.

I have the 3800X and a 3090 and all my scores were within +/- 1% of reviewers benchmarks so within the margin of error. That was when I gamed at 2560x1440 but I upgraded my monitor to 3440x1440 and my 3090 definitely improved. Maybe you should have bought a new high refresh monitor instead just my 2c's worth.

Wow I bought a KFA2 3090 in December for £1,549. We are absolutely living in interesting times!! I'm not interested in buying one but where are they posted these days?

Thanks for the comment.
My monitor is a 144hz 2560 x 1440, I use virtual super resolution and up the res dependent on each individual game I play, for example I'm currently playing Satisfactory at 4k.
I think the higher single core speed on the 5900x vs the 3900x will help no end with this.
Monitor is something to think of in the future.
