Figured that it'd be cool to have some bargains in here, things people recommend, general bants on wine. Wine bants.

Nativ Eremo San Quirico Agliancio Campi Taurasini 2012

Gets a good rating, so thought for the price point it was well worth a punt.

I am also well in to my Orin Swift wines at the moment, they're such amazing drinks.

Last bottles I bought for myself were this Valpolicella. Not had chance to try it yet, but the last Ripasso I had was stunningly good.

EDIT: Yes i know Costco is for ****** buying in bulk, but their wines are surprising good.

It's a good wine in any year (Bar 2011 which was a rubbish year for most Aussie reds) , but 2012 is an epic vintage.

I was looking for a good value malbec on slurp today, might give it a go.

Think I've mentioned it in a couple of other threads, but this wine from Asda is pretty hard to beat for the price bracket. It's on sale at this price reasonably regularly, but the shelf tends to empty pretty quick.

I've also been enjoying this wine from Laithwaites. Also reasonably priced if you buy a case.

In the last 6 months I've bought more South African wine than any other, and that's after many years of avoiding them. Can't get enough of whites from Blank Bottle, along with a variety of different reds including Donovan Rall, Reyneke, and Badenhorst.

My only tip is around cheaper/newsagent style wines. Avoid Jacobs Creek and Hardy's, they are generally pretty terrible quality.

I really like the Exquisite Gavi they have in Aldi at the minute, always have a few bottles in now.

Bought a case of this stuff, it's about 24.50EUR a bottle, and absolutely stunning. Really great bottle and good value for what it is.

Had a bottle of RM Nicholson's Rustenberg Stellenbosch over the weekend. Quite full on at 14.5% but a beautiful drink.

I've not had that much SA wine really, I must dip my toe more in that area. It sounds like one I'd enjoy. I love heavy, full bodied reds.

25% off 6 in tesco at the moment. Nabbed some of that Tim Adam's Shiraz as a recommendation from this threat and 6x faustino. Anything else worth considering?

That's been a pretty reliably good wine for several vintages, particularly enjoyed 2012.

A steal at £7.50 a bottle. Drinks well now but will improve if you're patient.
