If you want to upgrade, then i wouldn't get the 9800 GT as you already have one, the 9800 GT is just your card with the first 8 changed to a 9, the good old Nvidia renaming and relaunchng.

ever since i discovered sex i really really couldnt give a **** about spelling 
i'm guessing you mean single slot rather than low profile? or maybe you mean short? 8800gt/9800gt are basicaly the same card. fastest you can hope fore would be a 1gb 4850 methinks.
however a 5850 could bell be single slot, you may want to hold out and see. shoud offer a significant performance boost
