My system specs:

Intel Core i3-2120 3.30GHz
8GB DDR3 Ram
160GB Sata HDD
Currently onboard GFX But plan on getting a cheap 5770 or equiv. graphics card.

I use this PSU

I know it's not the best but I can't afford to upgrade right now.

Simple question, would my PSU handle a graphics card?

Cheers

That should be okay yes, your system (even with that GPU) shouldn't pull much power.

I think some of the Hiper PSUs may be OK, but I wouldn't trust them.

It should work, but with these cheap brand PSUs it can be hit and miss! I'd suggest upgrading your PSU to something decent if you can. It doesn't have to be expensive:

Those hiper psu's are ticking time bombs. I'd get rid asap if I were you. They have a nasty habit of killing components when they go bang too. Buy a corsair or xfx.

I had exactly the same psu running fine, sold it to a friend and it blew up and killed most of his PC parts. Felt very guilty :(
