Seeking a bit of advice on identifying what [I think] is a bad driver.
I have a laptop that used to run Windows 8 then 8.1. Periodically it locked up for a few seconds (screen freezing etc.) while any network related tray icon loaded a duplicate of itself. It also resulted in my vpn dropping. The network card was replaced (Intel Ac 7260) to no difference.
I've now done a clean install of Windows 10 pro that has solved the periodic hangs and screen freezes, but I'm still noticing the connection drops and duplicate tray icons. I suspect this related to a driver issue but am unsure as to troubleshoot which one. No events are showing up in the reliability monitor.
If anyone has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated.
