Training Course

Hello,

After a career break I'm looking to get back into IT. I worked as a Project Manager for almost 10 years in the IT industry but I would like to go into support and hopefully network support as my career advances.

Can anyone recommend a good training course/qualification which will make my CV stand out. I don't know whether to go down the CompTIA, or Microsoft route.

Any advice would be warmly welcomed.

If you are looking to get into network support then probably CompTIA network+ or CCNA/CCENT would probably be a good start.

Bit of a random move if you've already been a PM for a decade - why perhaps look at something like ITIL and managing a support team. You might be in a position then where you can also get your hands dirty too.

I think you're right. My confidence is pretty low since I haven't worked for a while. I should focus on where my skills are I guess.

How long was you off work for? Have you done technical IT work in the past?
