transfering music Mini Disc to pc

    Ive got some old mini discs with some classis mixs tapes which i can't find anywhere. i don't have MD playe anymore, question is, if i get a new player can i transfer the music to pc using line in?

    Yes. You just need software that can record from line in.

    Sony Soundforge is the best for this but you have to pay for it. Alternatively use Audacity which is free.

    Just wondering does your MD player have optical out? I remember a few MD players having that and it would be great to use if possible as it'd be a lossless transfer. Also if I remember correctly you could get NetMD players, where you could connect them via USB and copy the music off as an ATRAC file which MDs use. Might be worth looking at if you can get a NetMD cheap enough on the bay.
