trying to get 5.1 surround and another sound card going at the same time ....help plz

im sure its been asked before...so even a link to useful info is appreciated

hi im having trouble getting my creative soundblaster live and a realtek audio card functioning properly at the same time.ive got them working but i cannot seem to get 5.1 surround system to go on my creative live or the other.just seems like one port out is working.

the usual software panels for the drivers are not visable so im a bit stuck as to how i can make the other ports to go.

i would like to have speakers off one and a mic and earphones for voip or teamspeak ventrilio off another.

mainboard is an asrock 939 dual.ive got onboard sound but i couldnt get the dual sound to work with onboard so ive got the 2 cards instead...

from what i understand you are trying to get the same sound output from both cards at the same time? as far as i'm aware this isnt possible im afraid. how are your speakers connected? optical/coax digital or 5.1 analogue connections?
