Apparently they were given the option of finishing it last night, or at midday today. Neither sound great after the emotional impact that they experienced, despite knowing he was stable in hospital.

All credit to them for coming out and giving it a go for Eriksen, no one would have judged them for forfeiting.

The team doctor said he was breathing when he got to him, but that started changing so had to start the CPR.

Not great options, and that's probably down to UEFA rules. It was clear that some of the players just weren't in the right frame of mind (would you usually see Schmeichel make that sort of error?)

If the game were non-league or lower the game would have been called off & abandoned. Surely they can come up with an agreement whereby teams can agree to end the game at 0-0 if that is still the score? I can't imagine UEFA's sponsors kicking up a fuss if there was a life changing incident to a player at a game...

Apart from the goal, this match has been a big bag of dross.

A lot of play acting, like the way the keeper threw himself to the floor then when he was nudged. Ridiculous. When you see stuff like that you can see why some people have the impression of football that they do
