Afternoon all,

I am looking to purchase a domain for my business.

Unfortunately it is registered, but has never been used. The minimum starting point is $1000 apparently.

I dont think it is worth $1000, has anyone managed to successfully bid under?

You should just make an offer of what it is worth to you, and see if they accept it.

If they don't, then I just wouldn't bother making a counter offer. They might counter offer you, but just insist on your original price.

If you don't get it, then don't worry about it, and choose another domain, because it is not the be all and end all for an online business.

Pretty much what radderfire says. I've negotiated a few, but some people just want ridiculous money, 5 figures for an average domain, and when you reject them, they come back 2 days later with an offer for half the price. You've just got to walk away. Some people are happy to wait 10 years to sell a domain for a crazy price as it only costs £5-10 a year to retain.

Speaking of domain names I just got a domain name I was surprised wasn’t taken.

I hope someone buys it off me!
You didn't even buy the .uk...
