Think it's about time I upgraded the CPU in my system, starting to feel it being brought to it's knees!

Currently have an ageing Intel i5-3450 with 16GB ram. I've got it alongside a 1060 6GB.

Looking at the Ryzen 1600, considering it can be had for not a lot and pairing it with an X370 or 470 board and 16GB DDR4. Also looking for a decent AIO cooler as well. Any recommendations on the motherboard and ram to go along with the CPU.

Gaming wise, I play anything from basic 2D top down to the latest AAA titles, including using my Rift a lot of the time. So want something that will do me well with VR.

Looking to spend around £500-£600. If you feel anything else can match or beat the 1600 within that budget then let me know.
