Upgrading Notebook HDD will samsung be quiet?

Hi,

In my laptop I have a Toshiba 40GB 4025GAS HDD and whenever im searching or loading something up it makes a sound, can't describe it really but its silent until I load something up so If I was to upgrade the HDD to a samsung or seagate which Im told are very quiet will it be quiet? or does that only apply for the normal 3.5 Desktop HDD?

I've got a 40GB Samsung HD in my laptop and can confirm its pretty quiet when seeking.
