Upgrading the Ryzen Wraith cooler

Hey guys,

Just wondering if I should look into this. First time PC owner so not 100% sure. Some of my friends were recommending I get one but when I saw that my Ryzen 5 3600 came with one I thought I would see how it does then contemplate upgrading.

So far no issues.

When would I have to look at getting something a bit better ?

I've got a lot of corsair so using iCue so was considering the H100i.

You should only really think about upgrading the cooler if you plan to overclock and use it heavily all the time, if not then the stock cooler is actually pretty good

I'd agree with @Praz94 Ryzen 3600 stock cooler does a fine job if your not overclocking the CPU.. You'll see minimal difference if you added the H100i

You don't need a high end cooler for a 3600, i'm running one of these http://www.deepcool.com/product/LiquidCooler/2018-11/209_10014.shtml an it does a frankly fantastic job of cooling it. if you scan around you can find it for peanuts.

Yeah I know. i'm just really enjoying the iCue software and linking everything together tbh. But it is stupid to pay that premium just for that.

In that case, you could go for a radiator setup with triple fans. The Corsair LL series comes to mind, they're really good for RGB

Already got 4 LL fans 3 in the front 1 in the back

Will look into it. My only issue is that a sideways move rather than an upgrade ?

How about upgrading from the Wraith aspire to the Wraith Prism for RGB and slightly better cpu temps?

As said above I can do. Question is, is it worth it a(will it be any upgrade over the wraith I have now) and the biggest issue im trying to work around is not having different RGB apps for each part. Corsair iCue integrating everything together.

If you're comparing with the stock cooler, this is definitely an upgrade

The Wriath Prims is better than the Spire, but i am not sure by how much. One things for sure, the Prism looks better i think. You're probably looking at a few degrees cooler.
